Vaporeon draws the Pokédex

I'm going to draw all the Gen 1 Pokémon even if I hate the results. And either I get better at it, and then I'll draw more Pokémon, or I still am similarly terrible at it in the end, and then I get to rub that in the face of every liar who told me that to improve I "just need to draw more often".

(Already drew a absolutely terrible Bulbasaur, just need to scan and alt text it.)

Bulbasaur. Scannning it made it look even worse...

Ivysaur wants to fight! #ivysaur

(This looks a lot less bad than the Bulbasaur from a few days ago, I wonder what changed... Maybe I really just need to press the pencil harder and draw the Pokémon more angrily?)

re: Vaporeon draws the Pokédex - #002

@vaporeon_ i think a lot of it is that the colors are much more easily diffurentiated from the stark white background; the bulbasaur would purrobably be easier to comprehend with some outlines, or with a diffurent background color

@aescling Hmm, true... The scanning process also made Bulbasaur look even worse than it looks on paper. Do they sell A5-format paper in colours that aren't white? Which background colour would you suggest?

@vaporeon_ not sure if they sell that size papurr in diffurent colors but i would not be shocked. i would purrobably go with outlining furst BUT what color to go with is a good question and is one of those things where trial and error can be nice (a pleasant quality of digital editing after the fact). i think a desaturated pink would work, functionally speaking, in that it would read more easily, but idk if it would fit the characterization of the mon?
