Flowery is a really interesting and layered character and i think people mistake a clearly sympathetic motivation, his ability to meaningfully challenge the Shit Squad’s ideals (purrticularly Ralsei’s)*, and his deliberate invocation of shonen purroragonist tropes as the whole story with him. but like. the red flags are extremely blatant (“you don't need anyone else, just me” type shit) and explicitly called out at the end. and isn’t it sad that his response to a situation that will kill him and the rest of the flowers is to willingly walk right into death?

* arguably his battle against the Knight at least somewhat invalidates this though—his strength is all smoke and mirrors and he gets fucking wiped
