Apparently the 5Ghz band on our home wifi network just Sucks Ass
My last wireless card I basically had ot use the 2.4 band because I got fucking atrocious signal on the 5 and with this new wireless card most things work fine on the 5 band except if you want to play a video game online, at which point Fuck You
Switched to the 2.4 band, no problems
ion get it but at least i know the problem

@coriander might just be everything in the house using the 5GHz band, causing connection (un)reliability that is detectably poor while gaming, which infamously requires fairly reliable (as opposed to high bandwidth (that is, “fast”)) connections
