the diamond and pearl anime was mid but in a watchable way exactly until the episode where they do a contest, which introduces extremely on the nose lesbian subtext and suddenly makes the show the best thing i’ve ever seen

@aescling I liked the parts of the anime where it's just life with Pokémon, and then I was very very bored at the end where the championships started
I'm just not very interested in watching a battle where it's obvious that Ash will find some trick to win anyway...
