I didn't enjoy enough movies in 2025 to write a "movies of the year" blog post but I can safely say that KPop Demon Hunters was my movie of the year

Ballerina (2025) was the worst movie of the year because it was simply so boring. I found myself fast forwarding through a bunch of it because it is so boring.

Ana de Armas being mind numbingly hot can't save this movie from being a bland series of action sequences.

I don't think we need a "John Wick extended universe" series of movies if Ballerina is the kind of movie we are going to get.

Sinners was the only movie I watched in a movie theatre this year.

I still need to rewatch this because I am not sure if the movie theatre I watched it in had a busted sound system or not. The movie was unusually loud to my ears and it kinda ruined the movie for me.

Conclave was interesting but ultimately it didn't leave any sort of lasting impact as a movie.

It made me nostalgic for the Dan Brown book Angels & Demons. There was a time where I used to be obsessed with Dan Brown's books.

bruh, I've watched The Matrix (1999) multiple times and somehow completely missed this shot from the beginning of the movie where Neo opens up a hollowed out copy of Baudrillard's Simulacra & Simulation

this movie is the GOAT fr

to be fair to me, a few years ago I would have had no idea about who Baudrillard or this book was so

cool to discover new things in a movie that is about as old as I am

I forgot the end credits song is a Rage Against the Machine song

the song is Wake Up from RATM's self-titled album which came out in 1992, 7 years before The Matrix

man RATM's self-titled album, what an absolute scorcher of an album to drop as your first album
