What even is the point? They can't even use "server load" as an excuse here like they did for removing pip search... Unless you are doing some really strange things, displaying a static website with the project information shouldn't cost more than displaying a page that demands that I turn on JavaScripts...
This is a new development. It used to be possible to just see the package information.
