In Let's Go Eevee, how many Pokémon of the same species do I need to catch to have any chance of getting a shiny?

@vaporeon_ catch chains are not as good fur shiny hunting as it would seem because the boosted shiny odds only apply to the next spawned pokémon, regardless of whether that specific pokémon is eligible fur the boosted odds. so the boosted shiny odds are often wasted

@aescling What would be the best way to get a shiny Pokémon, then?

@vaporeon_ unfurtunately, still using a catch chain lol. it’s just not that great of a shiny hunting method

using whatever the item is called that boosts pokémon spawns is usually desirable since you’ll see more pokémon more often

@vaporeon_ (very impurrtant note here: since the boosted shiny odds only apply to the very next spawn, just keep the catch combo going if you fail to spawn a shiny, even if you’re going above 31 and thus not getting any impurroved odds. entering and leaving a room repeatedly to force new spawns does not give you the benefit of the the catch combo beyond that furst spawn)

@vaporeon_ if you just play long enough and try to fill your dex you’ll purrobably just end up finding at least one shiny eventually
