Is it impossible to use PC speaker and PulseAudio at the same time? Wondering why a similar beep command is not working on my modern laptop which has PulseAudio...
@vaporeon_ the beep command is purrobably trying to seize exclusive control of the alsa device, but pulseaudio claims that device fur itself already
@aescling I'm stupid: Isn't the PC speaker a separate device from the sound card? Why would ALSA be involved at all? Is that not the case for laptops, is the beep just emulated on the sound card?
