the new cornifer is cool

it seems like dropping rosaries is the only punishment for dying (as opposed to hk where you lose a spell's worth of soul) which is kind of nice, the silk meter already seems really restrictive at least early

full bar of silk for a 3 mask heal is a big ask imo, it changes the way you have to approach even early enemies

it is very interesting to me that the citadel should want to capture hornet in particular

lest we forget, she is the daughter of herrah and the pale king. a spider born to a higher being

the silk she weaves is probably something the inhabitants of a place called pharloom would want their hands on, right?

i'm not yet used to the dive. it ends before i expect it to and leaves me vulnerable right when i'm putting myself in danger

also, this is an unfair thing to miss because it wasn't actually in hollow knight really, but

i miss having something to do actively on a long fall. i miss having a button to press that let me fall faster and avoid hardfall at the bottom, but that actively slowed me down if i did it on a fall that was too short

"holly what are you talking about, that was not a hollow knight mechanic" correct. but it was a hollow knight bug called inventory dropping, where you open your inventory during a fall to uncap your fall speed and avoid hardfall. it was patched out of the game but i modded it back in because it felt good as hell lmao

i'm not sure what i'm supposed to learn from the traps other than "sometimes you will be hit by a trap"

it's not like i'm seeing anything actionable

for being a more formally trained and experienced warrior than the knight, hornet sure does struggle more to put herself in a position and swing her needle for damage

every single enemy i run into is an existential threat

i feel like most places in hollow knight include a kind of enemy that's pretty safe to fight so you can get soul back off of them

so far in silksong i don't think i've entered a single fight on one mask and no silk and walked away alive
