OK, I think I got fail2ban up after lots of arguing with NetBSD
(They ship version 1.0.2 compiled for Python 3.12, but Python 3.12 removed a dependency asynchat of the fail2ban, so either I had to get the same version with an older Python, or a newer version of fail2ban. Ended up downloading the version 1.1.0 from GitHub and then doing pip install ..)
Do I touch computers? Yes
Am I competent at touching computers? No
