i went to buy coffee beans from my local shop

i go up to the counter with my bag of beans + order a mint matcha latte (it's soooo good btw)

the barista asks "do you want a can?" i think ????

i am soooo confused but i say "a can? like, to put it in? sure i guess?"

he proceeds to feed the coffee beans into a grinder and then refill the bag with grounds

im so confused today
