When I was a kid and just learning how to write papers, I thought "double spaced" meant formatting it like this

I remember telling my teacher "Yeah I didn't have a problem writing the paper except it felt weird remembering to hit the space bar twice" and she was just like "What."

@coriander in fairness there are some writing styles where you're expected to use two spaces after ending a sentence. like this? i am not sure why this is a thing

@00dani It did! But I was in like 5th grade and took a lot of things very literally =P
