Saw a line in a profile that read “I only accept follow requests from $MARGINALIZEDGROUP”. I’m reminded of “Separate but equal is inherently unequal.” Also, how would I prove to this person that I am a member of that group? This is the internet, no one knows you are a dog. I bear no anger towards this person and I hope they find the Fediverse they are seeking. Having said that, I worry that the fence building I keep seeing isn’t good for any of us.
