build process has been fucked with somewhere on upstream or glitch or both and i am seeing the JS throw a ReferenceError when trying to reference.......... React

somebody on discord said a solution that worked for them and it is not dealing with the problem for me
claire helped me get it to build
there was a file using JSX without importing React
