fucking hell are straight quotation marks going to be the new punctuation mark that you're not allowed to use because they supposedly mean AI wrote it. i hate smart quotes. I HATE SMART QUOTES SO BAD THEY ARE SOOO UGLYYYYYY

@moonsea 🤝 for a while someone convinced me to use some horrible obsidian plugin to get smart quotes because they were supposed to be better in some way. but I took it off because it bothered me so much haha
@moonsea @bloodripelives it depends on the font whether they’re ugly or not imo but like, anytime i’m writing in html obviously i’m also using straight quotes in the main text, i’m not a fool who’s going to track down the most annoyingly difficult to find syntax error
@Satsuma @moonsea ohhh yes shoutout also to my prof who was like "don't worry the code for this part is done for you! You don't need to do anything just plug it in!" Code reliably had like, 1-3 smart quotes in it
