#3GoodThings

🔊 heard some excellent live beats played loudly with some aussie-sounding rap, so I threw on some clothes, went out and followed my ears until I found a popup event at a venue over the road

😅 chatted with some people outside the venue to ask who was playing and they told me and I instantly forgot the name oh no. they also told me that it's a style called 'vicodin rap' (or possibly 'vicodin hiphop'??). I tried searching online afterwards but I cannot find it ahhh well never mind

🥰 one of the people outside complimented me on my fabulous outfit and personal style, which I am taking as a major win because today's outfit is very much in the style of 'throw on anything to look presentable and not be naked in public'. they especially liked my (stray kids) nail art and my rainbow cross-body bag (from beekeeper parade) so I had to infodump at them about some of my favourite things

before I forget again: fortune is the artist's name

edit: apparently it is spelled 4ORTTUNE because of course it is!

I saw several people wearing Geelong Hates You t-shirts and had to ask about them instagram.com/reel/DcQZU5pRG0-

anyway I went back after getting some lunch at Channie's bagel place, and there was no line and I could go in straight away. (the first time I went, it was full and there was a line around the block.)

as I joined the audience for the music, a young man held up his fist at me and it took me several seconds to register that he wanted a fist bump. so I gave him a fist bump and he was delighted.

this is the area outside the performing space which was sparsely populated but apparently had been much fuller earlier in the day, with lots of merch for sale. almost all the merch had sold out.

note the "FREE PAM" poster hell yeah #PamTheBird

everyone was sweet and friendly towards me even though I was the oldest person at the venue by at least 30 years I reckon.
