Tfw Jane Bennett isn’t yet 21 and you do a little math and realize you are older than Mrs. Bennett.
And to be fair to her, I might also be losing my mind if I had been raising 5 girls since my teens and knew the second their father died we’d be homeless unless I got them all married. Like. I can’t begin to relate to her challenge and I’m very glad for that.

@platypus she’s older than Lizzie, so probably is actually in her early twenties. But a year or two doesn’t really change your point much, especially as it pertains to Mrs Bennet
But yeah Lydia getting married at 15 has always been one of the more horrifying aspects of that book to me, in part bc of how chill everyone else seems to be about it
