At the height of the pandemic, I really wanted to make a Corsi Rosenthal air filter, but the 500mm box fan that is apparently so ubiquitous in some other countries can't be found in Japan. I never found a fan that was both cheap and of a design that could be used for a C-R air filter.

@RachelThornSub yeah ours are computer fan style, in part bc the square filters are so hard to get and that lets you use whatever size/shape of filter is easiest to get but maybe doesn’t fully meet the “cheap” criteria in terms of up front cost (i mean, in comparison to a hepa air purifier they’re still much cheaper but the fans definitely cost a bit more than the cheapest box fan)
