So now I know who keeps leaving chicken eggs in my yard. This raven flew in with one in its mouth, walked a few feet and stopped to eat. Then it hopped over to the dog kibble, ate some, and flew over to the bird bath for a drink. It brought its own appetizer.
@Satsuma I’m pretty sure it’s raiding chicken coops (I can hear at least one regularly), but I also wouldn’t put it past a neighbor to put eggs out for the critters. It would not be the most elaborate bird feeding scenario.
