My birthday present from my cocktail-making friend is some homemade nocino from foraged walnuts.
I am not a cocktail making person so
a) I had to look up wtf nocino is (walnut liqueur)
and
b) I just made a shamefully half-assed - arguably quarter-assed, at best - old fashioned with it, with spiced rum (from the Scottish Highlands!) and maple syrup.
It is delicious. 😁
