DAY 1! Pumpkin Spice
I do not go crazy for pumpkin spice. Despite Autumn being my favorite season and devouring loaves upon loaves of my annual pumpkin breads. I noticed that this has probably everything you'd find in a masala chai *except* cardamom, and I think cardamom is the spice I don't like in these kinds of drinks, so I'm vibin'. The ginger isn't strong at all, which is always welcome. And since my stomach has been TERRIBLE today the ginger is a good idea anyway.
And boy it smells amazing. My mouth's been hella sick-dry lately so I'm probably not experiencing 100% of the taste profile but, hey, tea is tea.
@Coxy that ingredient list doesn't make me think of man cave---
wait fuck did they really go "it's got two nuts"
@Coxy @The_T pu erh definitely does have a bit of a funk i can see working for this, but i’m surprised they went for plain oolong instead of something smokier—lapsang souchong or similar.
when i polled the household on what ingredients they’d put in we had apparently all separately thought of roasted barley and carob so clearly we were thinking in a diff direction than the makers
@Satsuma @Coxy yeah; I have 0 doubt the tea came first and the name came after
