it's crazy how little hockey there is in this hockey bl. which i presume is because a) this is based on a romance novel series that clearly came from the hockey rpf fandom space and b) it takes a different skill set to make organized sports sound exciting in prose than it does to make sexting before and after the game exciting in prose. but when it's a live-action show it's so jarring to just cut past the actual hockey every single time
