@RAPIDPUNCHES only about 4% of CDs degrade, and generally if they’re going to they will *within* the first ten, so if you have a decade old disc that is functional it will probably remain so for ~100 years: https://www.loc.gov/preservation/scientists/projects/cd_longevity.html
@Satsuma @RAPIDPUNCHES Mind that this is about CD-ROM, and not, as far as I can tell, the CD-R (or worse, CD-RW) one would use for backups, which generally have a shorter lifespan.
