Another detail of my pollinator garden piece made of collaged prints, for Manufactured Ecosystems. This shot shows my tiny sweat bee, Agapostemon virescens (Toronto’s official bee). I took a little liberty with scale so I could actually get some details and yet show the bee in context of the flowers (purple coneflowers, Canada goldenrod, 🧵1/2

black eyed susan, wild geranium) and a hint at the bottom of a dead log (another important part of pollinator gardens). For the more or less life sized bees, I can mainly convey the variety of shapes and colours and I will use the other print with ~10x size bees to really show anatomy. There’s also a red-spotted purple butterfly and a little white underwing moth.
