Something I said in a locked reply earlier today:

"It's so funny (i.e. not funny) that everyone thinks their thing is the first line of the poem.

"Every time someone says 'first they came for [my thing]' I'm like no, there's been fifty other things they came for before your thing and not only did you not speak up you didn't even notice."

If you're talking about undocumented people, I don't mean you. The "thing" in the example that prompted this thought from me? Linux.
