Passing a cemetery, the nonsensical thought “burying and giving in burriage” came to me

It’s probably funnier only to people like me whose dialect says bury like “barry”

@platypus as opposed to the other PA dialect which says berry and cherry like bury 😂

@Satsuma which is so interesting because that is my father‘s… But I think part of it is just where I grow up and part of it is a very strong resistance to getting that dialect

@platypus yeah i think we’ve got the full spectrum in my fam based on age/where exactly in PA they grew up/where they are now — eg. my mom is a berry and bury both sound like barry, but some of my aunts are full churry and i split the difference by saying bury and berry with diff vowels

@Satsuma I've worked hard to move myself toward being where you are. Just like I can say "Crayon" like a normal person
