Apparently they're turning the electricity off in the building tonight from 8 - 9pm because "after consultation" this was deemed the "least disruptive time" and it's like... consultation with whom?
I would make a joke about "old people who go to bed at 8pm" except *I'm* an old person who goes to bed at 8pm! I don't want to shower in the dark!!!

@Satsuma@glitch.cat.family So we have a body corporate here, meaning the building is run by an exec committee of owners (I assume there are similar structures elsewhere?). And almost everyone here is some kind of retired civil servant (we're about the youngest people in the building). So I sincerely believe they ran an actual consult process! And this is what they got to! It's just almost everyone else in this building is some kind of retiree who doesn't have to go to work in the morning!!!
