tried to see if there was an accountability app where you could get matched with someone to hold you to different tasks (like hey, you go to bed at 10pm CST, i would also like to do that…pls hold me accountable) and check-ins.

and surprise surprise! that does exist! but also costs moneyyyyyyy. i am tempted tho… there’s one that seems to fall in line the best with my needs and the monthly subscription isn’t the worst… maybe i will sit on it for a couple of days and then decide.

tbh i was shocked there were as many of these types of accountability things as there are. there are some for tasks/habits and then others for general working/body doubling

@pastelsinmysky oo can i ask what the app was called? i'm curious about checking it out too!!

@brie okay, so supporti and accountabuddy are the two apps that seem like they could be worth it. you work with people within the app.

however, it looks like there are some apps where you can join with friends and then you can keep each other accountable in the app… if you’re interested in that vibe, i’d be down to join with you! 👀 (i found some of those as suggested apps when searching for supporti!)

@pastelsinmysky oo thank you! i'd definitely be down to try one of the friend accountability apps, was there one in particular you wanted to try? :blobCatSnug:

@brie honestly…i think this app squadgoals! might be ideal?? we don’t have to have the same goals, which seems handy? it might just be an apple app tho??

there’s another one with more reviews called habitat that has more reviews, but the groups are formed around the same goal, which seems less helpful…

@brie @pastelsinmysky i’d be down to try squadgoals with y’all! maybe it will help me be a little more consistent about my habits

@pastelsinmysky @brie hm looks like the app is having trouble finding the right group via the link — it wants a six digit group ID number?
