I am 55km in and at the Rheinsberg lakes. A sporty cyclist in lycra passed me and gave me a thumbs up and then the metal 🤘 horns and then I realized that it was because of the bandshirt I was wearing. I saw a lot of animals. Now there are more tourists, around Rheinsberg. It’s still so quiet and peaceful. I am at a clear and still forest lake where I cooked dinner 🥘 containing “chicken of the woods” and other mushrooms I found. #cyclingtour #biketooter

I found a good spot to sleep, a grassy field next to a small forest, where I could hide the bike in the forest and make a little shelter out of my tarp and a farming tool (a big metal roll) that was left behind. I saw so many stars and the milky way at night! And also a shooting star! Currently the perseides meteor swarm is in its maximum so go to see shooting stars!

In the morning I went back to the clear lake, ate the rest of my food and went to swim. When I went out I could see little fish. I stopped and they observed my feet 🦶 and came closer and closer. And the smallest one poked me with its head 😁

I left the nature reserve to sleep in the regular landscape and now I see the 4th car/van where ppl camp illegally in the nature reserve itself. And it’s almost 9 in the morning. Those car people aren’t ashamed of anything! #cyclingtour

#cyclingtour: I am indeed feeling it now. The time I have to be alone with myself. It’s so precious. As an introvert who is constantly craving social time with my friends I feel the only time I can really be with myself is when I am on a solo trip! Life has become so fast, too fast for me. Today I am slow. And it’s okay. I am biking up the East side of Müritz and so far I have not seen a glimpse of the water. Instead I am following a boring road and the tarmac is old and rough #BikeTooter

I was in Lärz which is a small village with big fame because a leftist music festival is happening there each year. I never go because too introverted. I approached the local inn and was treated so friendly, got my water bottle filled and a smile for free. Maybe the dude liked metalheads? #cyclingtour #BikeTooter

Actually it is a forced break, because an hour ago I was hungry and ate a piece of chocolate and nothing else, now I have a blood sugar low and am hardly able to bike. So I had a sandwich with a lot of garlic 🧄 and I have to wait for my blood sugar to come back.

The landscape has changed quite a bit and from the time I was at the observation hut I biked through amazing forests and swamps! The Müritz was not visible but the nature reserve is beautiful! Lots of cyclists and tourists though. I would love to camp here but it is not respectful to the nature and so I will try to pass Waren and find a spot north of the town. #cyclingtour #BikeTooter

lol I went to a public toilet and it took 50 cents coins and me and an old dude both didn’t have any so he said “ah fuck it” and climbed over the barrier and I followed his example 😂. #cyclingtour

I made food and tea for tomorrow and then I went looking for a place to sleep. I didn’t find anything but then there was a sign saying this way leads to a Neolithic stone grave. I decided to camp there without knowing how things would look like lol - It was in the middle of a forest so I just put the tarp up there and now I’m ready to sleep. Deer are barking and foxes are walking around. Far away dogs are barking too. I hope they will stop but it’s not too loud… good night fedi friends! #cyclingtour
