I've seen popcorn (textured) ceilings before (our first condo had them in the bathroom and pieces of the popcorn ceiling kept sloughing off and falling on our heads while we showered) but what is the fl deal with popcorn walls in our rental? They seem so impractical and I feel like they show every scuff and smudge.

Are they cheap to install or do people find them attractive enough to be a selling point?
