@compostablespork The version I was taught was accidental mould innoculation of some cultures -> Fleming noticing that a specific mould had clear "halos" around it where the bacteria they were trying to culture wouldn't grow -> identifying the chemical compound that was doing that. I'm looking forward to hearing all the ways that's either wrong or oversimplified....
