re: ph, neg, post covid
@gnomon @demimom oh yep hiiiii, dysautonomia is such garbage.
There's plenty of us around pounding electrolytes and salt and water now, sorry to hear of a new member of this awful club. I did a lot of falling over like a wilting flower with random autonomic functions deciding it was vacation time. I hope you're able to find your comfort zones quickly and get some relief!
re: ph, neg, post covid
@demimom @gnomon right? I got really lucky and a friend who had been having post-covid chest pain passed on a cardiologist's recommendation to try Gatorade, which worked so well that I got curious enough to get more information out of that early on (I ticked a whole lot of those dysautonomia boxes for the first 6-8 months) and just knowing what I was dealing with helped so much.
re: ph, neg, post covid
@pamela I was curious if Gatorade helped, bc I have a separate condition that makes plain water burn my throat so that was gonna be uhh interesting, lol, having to drink water all the time
re: ph, neg, post covid
@pamela @demimom i usually try to pre-empt the morning dehydration with a big glass of skratch’s hydration formula along with my meds, which’ll usually keep me going well enough to make it thru breakfast + accompanying hot bev
But yeah if I have to be up and functional straight off the bat (something i avoid even outside of POTS problems lol), morning electrolytes are definitely key
