Do image/media descriptions or lack of description in a fediverse post influence your decision to boost it?

@ljwrites the other day i saw a post of a meme about the space race, that was inexplicably alt texted ‘a collage of cakes’ (it was actually a list of space firsts where russia beat the us and contained zero cakes) which i decided, after looking at their profile enough to confirm it was probably intentional, was a block worthy offense

@Satsuma At first glance it came across to me as some kind of LLM- generated crap, but I guess deliberate obfuscation or some meme I don't get is at least as likely. And yeah, agreed that's pretty gross--not writing a description is one thing, and outright hostility to it is quite another.

@ljwrites i also block people who post AI crap, so admittedly i didn’t try that hard to differentiate—intentional in this case meaning more “this has been done repeatedly and not as a weird one off mistake where you mispasted and didnt notice”
