The weirdo Christian religious turn at the end juxtaposed against the advent of Santa Claus, which has no place in Christian tradition, is just so jarring and it brings up so many questions about the set of beliefs that Elvis expects his listeners to simultaneously entertain

Like idk maybe this strikes me as particularly weird because I grew up Evangelical and performing hatred of Santa at church is a big part of Christmas for them
