apparently when writing up the minutes our clerk has not been inserting a footer and has instead been hitting enter to hit the end of the page and manually typing the date and page number (separated by the space bar to be left and right aligned), fixing it every time she has to make an adjustment
@Satsuma she is about my age and was recently in college so the fact that she was hitting enter six times before typing DATE________PAGE 1 in word left me flabbergasted
@unpretty so, “learned to type on a typewriter, where thats actually the correct way to do it” not the explanation then
oh god was she doing this for all her papers in college then too???? and none of her professors were ever like “hey so uh,”
@Satsuma it's either that or they showed her the correct way and she fully failed to retain it as a thing you could do for things that aren't college papers
@unpretty ah yes because as everyone knows, word disables half its settings the day you get your diploma. Just no reason why you’d ever need to use them for multipage docs in your work life!
@Satsuma of the people in the office she is the second best with computers, after me 🙃
