How come I've never seen any meta about the name "the Unclean Realm"? Does anyone know if it's a weird translation (and what might fit better) or if the name has that negative connotation in Mandarin, too? And if so, why would anyone call their residence that?

I feel like it might be a Buddhist allusion, or at least have Buddhist connotations, if that helps!

@soph_sol @thalassa @villainousfriend ahhhh i’d always assumed it was just the stigma around the uncleanliness of butchers & hunters! The idea that it also references their current spiritual beliefs re:the vices is fascinating though
