Well, congrats to the person writing in February 1, 2024 at the top of my feed reader, I guess. How's the weather in front there? Appropriately enough, the domain name is whatthefuck.computer.

Every time I actually start consuming my feed reader I wonder why I ever let it lapse--there's so much fun stuff here! Updates from friends who aren't on the fedi, or post longer stuff off-fedi! Thoughtful pieces about subjects that interest me! New developments and events! It makes me want to keep up my own blog so I'd have something to offer, too.

(I have not posted on the blog since January of this year. Updating it just once more before the year is out, even with old stuff, has just become a Goal.)

@ljwrites lists of links to articles/posts you read recently are always helpful for helping other people fill their RSS feeds *and* incentivize keeping up with your own for a bit haha

@Satsuma So true! I love the resigned realism in the qualification "for a bit" :blobcat_melt_cry:

@ljwrites as someone who has at various times maintained a weekly link-list habit i know well enough to make no promises about duration 😅

but I have ended up much better about checking my RSS regularly through my attempts so, partial win!

@Satsuma Yeah I guess the feed reader is not unlike a treadmill, you might not catch up on everything but there's often something to gain!
