It feels unreasonable to me that religieuse choux pastries were a technical challenge in an early season of GBBO (and IIRC most contestants were like "whaaa I've never heard of this") and now they expect several 9 to 13-year-olds to make them with special decorations to look like host Harry Hill.

@twotone on the other hand, technicals are in part known for their vague directions testing peoples ability to extrapolate, no? its true that religieuse specifically aren’t super well known outside of France but and I’m sure the kiddo’s got better recipes and choux dough is pretty easy to work with

@Satsuma Yeah, some of the technical challenge "recipes" for regular GBBO are downright mean. Hopefully they're a little kinder to the kids.
