Youngest kid’s reading homework includes a recipe which has, among other ingredients:
1 tsp vanilla
1 TBS milk

He is then asked whether the recipe calls for more milk or more vanilla. Is he suppose to know this without any other context? Also, people abbreviate tablespoon so many different ways it seems like an odd choice to ask about.

@kiesa i mean i’m glad that kids are learning cooking terms — sometimes it feels like we’ve given up on the idea of cooking as a common skill. But yes definitely needs to be learning, and not just assuming they know with no context!
