In my paper I call myself an epileptic and explain why (now people say 'people with epilepsy' so they're not defined by their illness). I'm wondering if people who don't have epilepsy will get mad about it, cause no one I know with epilepsy cares.

@Cyborgneticz man they tried to pull this with autism too & the whole community was like ‘no im definitely autistic not a person with autism’. I wonder what it is about neuro stuff that makes people who aren’t involved wanna do this

@Satsuma I think it's an over correction. Like going from "alright we gotta sterilize all these epileptics" to "they're people with epilepsy and super normal and good"

@Satsuma exactly. we feel bad so let's change our language.
Personally I'd like if they overturned decisions like Buck v Bell and made forcible sterilizations unconstitutional, but I guess not being called epileptic is something
