@greyor they’ve been available for free from local libraries in my state for a while (since july or august) but they’ve had trouble keeping up with the demand — they would get shipments in 1-2x/wk and run out within the day when I was checking for them
I’m glad the biden administration is finally stepping up to deliver free tests, hopefully it’ll make them a little more accessible

@greyor I haven’t done the at home ones yet, but I’ve been to free PCR clinics a few times since the pandemic started & I’ve always been glad I went

@Satsuma Only been for a PCR once and that was required before my sleep study right about a year ago. I have been incredibly fortunate to work from home and don't go out much more than I have to, so it hasn't really been an issue. But my wife and I got real sick last week, so she went in for a PCR and I got the home test during my lunch break yesterday. Hoping her results are negative too.
Really glad testing has been very available for both of us!

@greyor ah yeah unfortunately i was in classes >50 students (mandatory masking & vaccination, but still) so I always tried to go to an asymptomatic testing site if I couldn’t quarantine before traveling.
I hope your wife feels better soon!

@Satsuma ahhh that is rough and testing here and there makes complete sense in that case.
She's mostly better, I am a couple of days behind her on healing but oh well. Getting there. Thank you for the kind wishes!

@Satsuma oh that is awesome! Not sure if our library has them or not. The one I took yesterday was the first one I've tried and it was kinda uncomfortable but worth doing.
Me too, I am all about making them more accessible.
