Today I learned that gunshot mufflers are a thing. People deliberately modify their vehicles so that when they rev their engine, the exhaust sounds like gunfire. I can see this causing endless headaches for that gunfire-noise detector company with the bullshit system and the willingness to falsify the data for the cops. No, I won't use their name. I can also however see endless headaches for folks in my neighborhood, trying to determine if there's actual rounds being thrown or not.
