Is the PHP things related to 4? Or is this a new disaster?
@coriander kind of related. my understanding is that 4 is the latest major version of PHP which is not affected
@coriander the first version of PHP which IS affected is 5.4. the oldest version to receive a patch is 7.4.
@coriander due to this vulnerability, a website called 4chan went offline until they could patch their servers

@coriander the number 4 sounds similar to “death” in many East Asian languages, and this morning a number of websites running older versions of PHP are dead
