and i think it gives me words for what I'm complaining about here, being effectively a strain of "evangelical queers". the ever-more-common idea that being queer is something you have ("faith") instead of something you do ("works")
@Lady looking at the google books summary of this, i think that it'll be a nice follow-up to gay new york when i finish that (which covers the shift towards "homosexuality" as a term, from older models, among other things)
