@djsundog when i lived in WA i was far enough from seattle to get the spokane side of things and it still seemed like a thing there, but now that i live near a major city there is just No Local Programming despite the ostensibly more populous market area

@Lady there’s no money left in broadcast television so there’s no investment in local programming because they’d already watered it down and consolidated as much of it as they could to squeeze out any perceived inefficiency that it was just a husk where local television used to be anyway.

@djsundog and the college sports teams have all moved to college league specific networks which require a cable package or separate streaming subscription!

@djsundog hard to find a reason to care about the team when they're not the local team being carried by the local station anymore tho tbh
