my feelings regarding t·c·g pocket so far are that it’s fine as a fast casual version of t·c·g but the simplified energy mechanics, (currently) small meta, and small deck sizes make it basically impossible to run “fuck you” toolkit decks, which are the only kind of t·c·g deck i like
@Lady I have no idea how long I will play it but for now I am enjoying looking at the card art
@coriander oh yeah i mean, most of my love for t·c·g in any form is (1) card art and (2) pokémon who aren’t good in the games getting their own moments to shine
when you hit that point of “oh, this pokémon i never thought twice about in the games is suddenly core to my strategy and i have immense feelings about its card art”, it’s a good feeling
like i don’t hate it, i think it’s mostly inoffensive, but none of the victories really feel like much of an achievement either; you’re just casually going thru the motions to kill time as evidenced by the autoplay feature
which is great if you’re just looking to kill time!! but is not going to land it on any game of the year lists or anything
