I think it's a shame that Ghostbusters 2016 turned out the way it did and the studio's reaction was to go "Got it, we need to keep making Ghostbusters movies but just suck off the original movie instead"

@coriander i mean they’re probably right, in the sense that except for nostalgia there is absolutely no reason to make another ghostbusters movie, but i would simply choose not to make them instead
