You think gridiron football would hit the same if we measured it in meters instead of yards?
I know there's only about a 3-inch difference between the two, but that shit adds up and also "a 15-meter catch" just doesn't sound as good
100 yards is 3600 inches but 100 meters is 3937 inches
That's an extra 75 feet of field

@coriander my understanding is canadian football has to rely a lot more on throwing for this reason
@coriander wikipedia seems to suggest canadian football uses yards so maybe i'm mixing two things up? i think THEY have to throw more because they have a wider field
@Lady Yeah their fields are way wider and I think a bit longer too
@coriander they're basically 100 meters, but they measure in yards, so it's 110, and midfield is at 55, which looks really weird
