“nobody ever reads large documents”

me, with my 20 tabs of various specifications that i constantly reference:

idk man, if you didn’t want to read a large document of technical prose, maybe you shouldn’t have specialized in a field which consists entirely of reading and writing one form or another of technical prose

@Lady Where's my IDE for reading interconnected collections of reference documents?

@Lady Firefox is really limited as a hypertext browser, though.
Like, you can't even add your own annotations and annotation-links. When those were like, one of the earliest forms of hypertext corpuses.

@gaditb i mean i feel that most IDEs also do a lot of things i don’t want and not a lot of things i do want, so maybe my bar is just much lower here

@Lady I mean I agree that Firefox IS one, it's just bad at being one.

Like, you're not even gonna have a concordence over documents-seen? Not gonna try for ANY metaphors for organization tooling? Come on.
