I’ve been trying to find Pu Songling’s short story Cut Sleeve but no dice. It’s supposed to be a part of his Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio collection but the only books I’ve managed to find are vol I and II, and it’s not in either of those.
Would anyone happen to have it? I’m not really into buying a 600+ pages long book for one 15 pages long short story…

@shipperslist which vols i and ii? most english translations of strange tales are abridged; afaik https://jainpub.com/inc/sdetail/1445/2929 (6 vols) is the only unabridged version; in that version, Cut Sleeve is in Vol 2 under the title “Huang the Ninth” (i have a copy, but i’m moving this weekend so can’t access it immediately)
the title “Cut Sleeve” comes from the Minford’s translation, published by Penguin Classics (1 vol, abridged)
